A peaceful oasis: Acuarela Bistro

Acuarela is a small bistro, located in an old house, in the heart of Bucharest. It is just perfect for those of you who are looking for a casual meeting place.

The terrace is big, spacious, very colorful and suitable for hosting various types of events. What we love the most about Acuarela Bistro is the ‘90s vibe, given by all the trinkets displayed around the bistro, both inside and outside. Moreover, these days, they have the van from Cheese Up in the garden, bringing delicious grilled cheese sandwiches 🙂

Wine & Pasta Heaven: Pasterra/La Bottega del Tartufo

This is one of our most favorite locations in Bucharest and we are lucky that we actually have 2 in 1 when it comes to restaurants. So, if you are in the mood for pasta, but you would also like some exquisite wine, then this is the place to go!

Our personal choice, whenever we visit the wonderful Monica and Radu, is the pastrami sandwich 😀 Literally, finger licking! If you don’t get the chance to eat some of their truffle products, you can always take some home with you or order them online 😛

Reinvented home-made food: Paninaro

This is the perfect brunch place for your Sunday in the city! You get to experience typical Romanian dishes, with a modern twist and also enjoy the fun team of the restaurant. People visiting here like to eat standing, just in front of the shop. The few chairs and the two tables are just for those weak at the knees 😀

Our recommendation has to be the spinach puree with an egg on top – a typical family dish, which brings back a lot of childhood memories. Be careful! You can’t leave Paninaro without having a glass of prosecco!

Gorgeous sunsets: Linea / Closer to the Moon

If you are looking for the perfect place to watch the sun coming down over the old buildings of the Bucharest city center, this is one of those places! Linea / Closer to the Moon is located on the roof-top of one Bucharest’s fin de siècle buildings and their mission, as they put it, is to deal with the after-work issues of the people of Bucharest.

What does that mean? It means, they got you covered! If you don’t know what to do after an exhausting day at the office, the solution is to go and see the sunset, while enjoying one of their personalized cocktails.
